About

Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 105 Teakwood Drive Southwest in Huntsville, Alabama. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Whitesburg Manor Health Care Center can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

I've had the pleasure of working with these folks for about 8 years and I can't think of a better crew. They are truly my family and I admire how passionate they are about caring for our patients. Loving the Whitesburg family!

My first experience starts with admissions, she was awesome. Keep me informed whole entire time, while transitioning my in laws from hospital to the rehab facility. Upon arrival, everyone was friendly and very accommodating. Two thumbs up for Whitesburg Gardens👍🏾👍🏾

They healed my father and then some. He arrived ill from Pneumonia and was helpless, unable to lift his head. (near death to be truthful) In 90 days he walked out of there healed. I observed the staff many times caring for the patients just as I would want to be treated, with love and care. The rehab staff, the nurses and care takers are all seemingly caring people. My dad didn't care for the meals at times but it goes that way when you don't get to pick what you get for dinner. They always tried to accommodate him and have the kitchen make him something different. The director was a professional and put us at ease in our first visit with her. I would recommend it to your family based upon my experience there.

My mother'n law has been in the care of the wonderful staff at Whitesburg Gardens for the past two weeks. From day one I have been impressed and amazed at the level of care she has received. Mary is 90 years old and in very good health. Up until her fall, on November 7, 2013, she and her 93 year old husband had been living in their home with the help of a care giver who was with them during the day. ( 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ) On the evening of Nov. 7th Mary fell and broke her pelvis. Her GP doctor put her on pain meds and sent her home. We arranged for 24/7 care for her at home, but within a week after her fall she became listless and stopped eating, sleeping and dehydration was setting in. An ambulance ride to Crestwood Hospital ER was arranged & she was admitted for 3 days/nights of intensive care to bring her pain under control & getting her back to eating and sleeping normally again. The admitting Dr. recommended The Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center quite highly. From the first moment I walked into Whitesburg Gardens until this evening, two weeks later, I have felt completely at peace with our decision to have Mary under the care of the caring folks at this rehabilitation facility. The atmosphere is so positive, and the entire staff works together as a team so completely, that any worry I might have had when Mary was placed in this rehab center has completely vanished. I've observed a delightful group of caring people who are truly committed to the rehabilitation & attaining the goal of giving their patients their lives back, no matter what age or disability they have upon their admittance to the facility. During the course of these past two weeks at Whitesburg Gardens, I have had an education in true compassion, a deliciously keen sense of humor expressed by the majority of the staff and a depth of dignity shown to the men and women who are going through a positive rehabilitation while on their journey back to living the lives they want to live. Kudos all around! I wish to express my sincere thanks to everyone who works at Whitesburg Gardens. Lynn Sanders
